The iPod has become a cultural icon of this generation. It is more than a fashion statement- it has become a necessary accessory. Just ask your children if they want an ipod, and you will clearly see just how deeply woven into our cultural psyche this little gadget has burrowed. Of course, in this economy, everybody is looking for how to get their hands on a really cheap iPod.
Normally, the words "Apple iPod" and "cheap" don't go in the same sentence. Actually any Apple product and very cheap don't really go hand in hand. So the question on everybody's mind is "Where can I find a super cheap iPod?" Your kids are demanding it of you, your coworkers have them, and let's face it, you would LOVE to have your very own shiny iPod wouldn't you? Everybody is lining up (literally outside Apple's stores every day) to join the ranks of proud iPhone users and white headphone zombies.

Besides, the little extra work put in to finding a great deal is worth it just to get your kids off your back and stop them from looking at you with those woeful eyes!
There are a few places you can look to get some great iPod deals. The first place should be obvious: Ebay. Every day thousands of cheap iPods go up for auction in every flavor (touch, mini, nano, classic, video... and any we've forgotten) and if you watch closely you just might snag a really great bargain. Be sure you try to only bid on items from reliable sellers and power sellers. These are the ones that run their businesses on Ebay, and these are the ones that will be the most professional about shipping your product quickly and safely.
Another great place to look for cheap iPods is more locally through Craigslist. Once you start using Craigslist, you won't stop. People sell their used goods for incredible prices, and listing your classified ad is free and easy. There are so many bargain deals every day that you won't believe it. Look for some local used iPods that are being sold. You can almost always find a last generation iPhone, or used iPod touch for a great price. Email the seller, meet in person (never send money) and make the trade. Be sure to inspect the product first once you meet them to make sure you are buying what you expect to be buying.
You can also find great ipod deals by checking online retailers for refurbished iPods. These are returned iPods which have been repaired and made as close to new as possible and are then put up for sale.
As you can see, it's more than possible to find a great iPod deal, and even score a super cheap iPod with a little research and a little leg work. Never pay full price for an iPod again!
