Thinking of whether or not to get an ipod touch, or invest in an iphone? Well you’re not alone. Did you know that the numbers of iphones and ipod touches are almost equal? 13 million iphones have been sold, and 11.8 million touches have been sold to date. That means plenty of people are still very interested in the touch, even though it doesn’t have 3GS capability (yet).
The Touch is much more than just an MP3 player, it is becoming a fully fledged netbook that is jam packed with features and goodness. It is a mobile gaming platform, and once it gets the same hardware updates that the iphone got (and possibly more) it will be one kicking little gaming system. It’s also an entertainment center with movies, music, and photo capability. The battery life lasts much longer on the touch than the iphone thanks to not having to run the 3GS connection all the time. That means more hours of entertainment for you.
There have been rumors released about the new ipod touch and what it will have. Apparently the case design features a new camera smack dab in the center of the ipod, instead of offset in the corner as with the iphone. Also added in will be a microphone to compliment the speaker. Can you say Skype??
The new ipod nano has also been leaked, and it looks much the same on the outside at least, with a wider screen and a camera in the corner. We’d love to see these guys come stock with compasses and many of the new features that can be found on the iphone 3gs.
Who knows what these things will sport under the hood though. You can bet your bottom dollar that come this December we are in for some exciting releases from Apple, whether it’s the new Apple netbook, or upgraded iphones and ipods, it’s going to be hotter than hot. Better than that, when the new touch comes out, it will make the current one even cheaper, and you will get even better refurbished ipod touch deals than before!
If you have been watching the news recently about the iPhone 3GS, or perhaps you even have purchased one for yourself, then likely you are aware of the highly unfortunate overheating issues going on with the battery. The 3GS is getting so hot it actually discolors the white back plate, and it is even too hot to put against your face and use at times. As computers get smaller and smaller (and the iPhone is nothing less than a very small computer) and batteries get more and more powerful, this is going to become an increasingly difficult problem and balance to strike with technology.
Rumors for the new 2009 3rd generation Iphone 3.0 are springing up left and right. It is rumored to be announced mid June this year, and Apple fans are working themselves into a frenzy over what it will include. Whatever happens we are sure it is going to be a hit and a solid upgrade from the last one! Here's some of our hoped for features for the next upgrade to the iphone:
